Growing Together...Building in Faith
Growing Together - Building in Faith
February, 2010
THE WORK GOES ON
AS I WRITE this, we’re in the last week of the first month of a new year. By the time most of you read this, our Parish Annual Meeting will be behind us and we’ll be getting ready to bid Epiphany farewell and enter the Lenten season on Ash Wednesday, February 17th.
Your Capital Campaign Committee is preparing to engage the services of a professional grant-writing consultant. His mission will be to work with the Committee, the Vestry and Father Karl to identify potential sources of nonprofit foundation funding for our building project, and to write grant proposals aimed at tapping into whatever looks promising.
You’ll most likely have noticed our campaign progress thermometer in the narthex. Keep your eyes open for the catchy little “Burma Shave” style jingles that will be popping up in the same place from time to time (if you don’t know what a “Burma Shave” style jingle is, ask someone who traveled by car in the Midwest during the 1950s or ‘60s).
The GREAT news is that, because of YOUR generosity, and because of the incredible generosity of our dear departed sister Anne McKinney, our campaign fund is looking very healthy indeed. WE CAN’T LET UP, I hasten to add. Please bear in mind that this dream of ours – to build a wonderful new place in which to carry out our manifold ministries – belongs to every single one of us. Working together, we’ll make it come true.
Blessings...
Clem.

FLOOR PLAN 1
This plan is for a Sanctuary
and offices only.
With this phase, the current facility would need to be kept for use for St. Alban's Christian Learning Center, Sunday School classes which includes upkeep, utilities and insurance.
FLOOR PLAN 1 A
This plan includes area to the north of the sanctuary which will be used for St. Alban's Christian Learning Center during the week and Sunday School classes on Sundays. With this plan the current facility could be torn down and therefore would not require upkeep on our dated building as well as utilities and insurance.
