St. Alban's began at the Wyomissing Hills Borough Hall and grew in it's mission to the rapidly growing western suburbs of the city of Reading.  A four acre tract was purchased along Van Reed Road and in October 1963 this building was erected to accommodate the congregation as it gathered for worship.

We completed our space needs assessment and had our Capital Campaign
Kick 0ff, November 2008.

St. Alban's Episcopal Church
Sinking Spring, PA

St. Alban's offers opportunitites for everyone in our parish family.

  • Acolyte  -  Crucifer  -  Chalice Bearer   -                    Usher  -  Greeters

  • Men Only Breakfast - meet once a month, attend Morning Prayers and then have conversation over breakfast at a local family restaurant

  • Supper Club - The second Friday evening of the month the adults gather at a parishioners home for food, fellowship      and fun.  Everyone brings a portion of the meal.

  • Seniors - The "Seniors" gather once a month for lunch, sometimes a dinner theatre, sometimes a speaker but fun for all.

  • Juniors - The "Juniors" are a newly created group, they wanted some of the fun had by the seniors, but a social time for the parishioners under the age of 40.

  • Youth Group - This group meets twice a month, they have two money makers each year, they have fun activities and they provide community service.

  • Prayer Group - This group meets one morning a month at a home of a volunteer parishioner.  They provide a strong faith and prayer for those on our prayer list.

Episcopal Relief and Development responds to human suffering around the  world.  We provide emergency assistance  after disasters, rebuild communities, and help children and families climb out of poverty.
The United Thank Offering was begun in 1889 by Julia Emery and Ida Soule to show the connection between giving thanks and giving money, united sharing and praying. Women throughout these many years have carried forth the legacy and United Thank Offering has grown and strengthened

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

RAG DOLLS 2 LOVE, INC.

This project was started to offer children solace that their lives do not offer.  Put a soft cloth doll in the hands of children under the age of 6 in countries ravaged by war.

All dolls are gratefully accepted.  Put a smile on a child’s face!

“Love isn’t just a gesture of goodwill, it is a gesture of understanding.”

Prayer Shawls

Our women are knitting and / or crocheting to make PRAYER SHAWLS for those who could use just a little something extra.  The shawls are not exclusive for our parishioners.  If you have someone in need, please contact Nancy, stalbanssonlight@comcast.net and enter PRAYER SHAWL in the subject line.

Thank you.
